Here is a brief introduction about myself. I am Mr Mitch Peh, I used to teach at St Andrew’s Junior College as both a lecturer and tutor. Currently, I am a full time A level tutor, fully dedicating myself to help students prepare for the exams of the following A Level subjects: Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics and Economics. Here is a photo of me and the students that I have previously taught back in St Andrew’s Junior College.
I find great fulfilment in helping students break down complex concepts and overcome the various challenges that they face in their hectic and fast paced A level journey.
How can Mr Peh’s A Level private tuition help your child?
I strongly believe and have seen students benefit the most when they learn by active doing themselves, rather than passive listening to the teacher. Hence, the style of my A Level private tuition services is as follow:
1. Straight to the point teaching where summary notes are provided, and key concepts are highlighted to your child.
2. Provide plenty of practice questions for your child to work on. The questions are sourced from recent past year prelim and A level papers to ensure relevance. They are also carefully arranged in terms of question type and ascending difficulty level.
3. Systematic approach to teaching, helping your child build up confidence level gradually. I always work together with my students, starting from the easy and manageable drill questions, before moving on to the more demanding exam style questions. This is so that students get to reinforce their concepts first before they take on the higher difficulty questions.
4. Emphasise the common careless mistakes made by other students. This is to help your child avoid making the same mistakes and lose precious marks in his or her examinations.
5. Efficient teaching by prioritising on the weaker topics faced by your child first. I always ask my students on which are the topics that they struggle with the most and work on those together with the child first. Once students find that they are able to handle the topic that they have the most difficulty in, they often start to gain greater confidence and interest in the subject.
